Col. George Compton was keynote speaker at the annual Oxnard Knights of
Columbus Veterans Day Dinner held Nov. 9 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
Compton served in the U.S. Army for 27 years. He recently re-retired after having
been the veterans services officer with the Ventura County Human Services Agency.

Port Hueneme approves gang intervention contract
Stories from Nov. 12-25 issue
The Port Hueneme City Council at its Nov. 16 meeting unanimously
approved a one-year $20,000 contract with Edgar Mohorko Consulting of
Oxnard to develop a program of gang intervention for the city.

the annual event of the Ride 2 Recovery, “Making
a Difference in the Lives of Wounded Warriors”
on Oct. 4-10. The post should be commended for
its assistance, strength, support and

that not only gives hope to those who are
wounded in our wars, but to everyone.
