Do you have local news for the Hueneme Pilot? If so, send your information to us at llewis@huenemepilot.com. Local news includes information about you -- weddings, engagements, retirements, anniversaries, obituaries -- your organization, your business, your charity or your school.

The Hueneme Pilot is about your community. If you live in Port Hueneme or the Channel Islands and beach areas, or if you have a business in this area, send us your news.

Publication of news from outside our circulation area will selected based upon its news value to our target audience.

  • We publish photos

    Do you have photos from your event? If so, send it along via e-mail and it might be included in the Pilot. Include as much information about the event as you can, but be sure to note, when possible:

    • the name of the event
    • the sponsoring organization
    • when the event happened
    • where the event took place
    • who was involved
    • contact information for you or your organization
    • any news about the event that would be noteworthy

    Be sure to double-check all names and dates for accuracy.

Not  all items can be published

The Hueneme Pilot does not guarantee publication of all items sent. Among the considerations will be whether the item is timely (less than two weeks old), information is complete and accurate, and photos are print quality. The Pilot reserves the right to use its editorial discretion for any submitted item.

In some cases, photos may be placed on this Web site rather than in the print edition. At other times, space limitations may force us to use just one photo for print while others may be included online.
